Who has access to the digital lock and when?

The following people will have access to the digital lock: guests, owners, Welcome in staff and external employees.

Guests
Every guest staying in the property can use his or her smartphone as a key. The Welcome in guest app can be used as many times per booking as the number of guests that are staying. For instance, if 4 guests have booked the property, the app can be used on 4 different smartphones. Access automatically expires on check-out.

We have set the last access to 30 minutes after the check-out time. This gives guests a little extra time to briefly re-enter the property if they’ve left something behind.

Owner
As an owner, you will receive two key cards. These are for occasional visits, such as doing odd jobs in your holiday accommodation. You will be given access via the guest app for all bookings you make as an owner. This access will be valid for the duration of the booking and for the number of guests booked.

Welcome in
Welcome in employees – our housekeeping team and concierge – use a key card to enter the property. We can always see which of our employees was in the property, and when.

External staff
External staff such as sub-contractors, collect a key card from us. A key card also allows us to see exactly who has been in the property and when the card was used.

Welcome in is able to track and manage who has access to the property. We can manually block access through the app and key cards at any time.
