How do you open the digital lock?

You can open it in two ways: with the app and with a key card.

Opening with the app
We use our own guest app. Guests download the app and log in with their booking number and the postcode of the main booker. When the guest arrives at the holiday home, they open the Welcome in guest app, press “open door” and select the available lock. By holding the smartphone close to the lock, the light flashes green and the guest can open the lock. The door of the property doesn’t show up in the app until the guest is in close proximity to the lock at check-in time.

The app and the lock use Bluetooth or NFC (a chip with a similar function to Bluetooth, found in many smartphones). This means that the door can be opened without Wi-Fi. To download the app, an internet connection is, of course, required. Guests always receive an email with check-in information six days before arrival. The email also explains how they can download the app.

Download the app
Would you also like to download the app? Look for the “Welcome in WeMa mobile app” on the Google Play Store or AppStore. See how to download and open the guest app here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ah4-7Wbdk5w

Opening the door
You can see how the guest app is used to open the lock here (in this example, there are multiple apartments with multiple locks to choose from. Your property will have one door per booking): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/64ytnH-MBdU

Opening with key card
Using a key card to open the lock works in the same way as using the app. You hold the key card close to the lock, the green light flashes and the lock opens.

As a property owner, you will receive two key cards. These are for occasional visits, such as doing odd jobs in your holiday let. For owner bookings, you will be given access via the guest app. This access is valid for the duration of the booking and for the number of people included in the reservation.

Closing the door
The door must be locked manually on departure.
